Today's TV Snacks include bits from "Nurse Jackie," the Gordon Ramsay TV empire, "Suburgatory," Cinemax and one of our new favorites, "New Girl." Yum!

- Showtime announced today (Oct. 6) that Rosie Perez is set to appear in one episode of "Nurse Jackie's" upcoming fourth season. The Oscar nominee will play a patient named Jules with "an unusual diagnosis." [Showtime]

- No surprise here, as they already announced casting, but FOX has officially given the go-ahead for a third round of Gordon Ramsay's "Masterchef." The culinary competition should return to the network's summer line-up in 2012. [FOX]

- There might be love for Tessa (Jane Levy) in the suburbs. "Prom" star Thomas McDonell just booked a two-episode arc on ABC's "Suburgatory" as a potential love interest for the character. [TVGuide]

- Get ready to "Strike Back." Again. The Cinemax action series has been renewed for a 10-episode second season run, set to shoot in South Africa in early 2012 and air later in the year. [Cinemax]

- "Party Down" darling Lizzy Caplan is heading to "New Girl." She'll play Julia, a classy cultured love interest for Nick (Jake Johnson). Though her one-episode status makes us think she's not actually perfect... [TVLine]
