'Rock Center with Brian Williams': Watch previews here

rock-center-with-brian-williams.jpgIn addition to having the one of the most comforting, authoritative voices in all of newscasting, Brian Williams is pretty funny, too.

You probably already knew that from his numerous self-deprecating appearances on shows like "30 Rock," "Saturday Night Live," "The Daily Show," various late-night talk shows and, uh, "NBC Nightly News." But in case you didn't, Williams is here to remind you of that fact in two new promo spots for his new primetime newsmagazine, "Rock Center with Brian Williams."

The first spot showcases all of "Rock Center's" high-profile correspondents, including Ted Koppel, Kate Snow, Harry Smith, and ... not Seth Meyers. (Sorry buddy, but "Weekend Update" anchor isn't quite the background they were looking for.)

The second features a mustachioed Jimmy Fallon sharing his major life developments with Williams. Let's just say growing facial hair doesn't exactly compete with "starting a newsmagazine on a major network." Better luck next time!

"Rock Center" premieres Monday, Oct. 31 at 10 p.m. ET, in the slot vacated by this season's first casualty, "The Playboy Club."
