'Chuck' season premiere pics: Chuck vs. tennis elbow

The season premiere of "Chuck" is now just 16 days away, and we have our first glimpse of what will happen when Oct. 28 and "Chuck vs. the Zoom" rolls around.

Unfortunately, there's not a lot of context to the pictures. So while we can admire the parts of the revamped castle we see behind Chuck (Zachary Levi), we can't answer why he's holding a tennis racket in what looks to be a briefing session with Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin).

Has Chuck found a new hobby? Is there a tennis-related task in the season premiere? Does he hit a one- or two-handed backhand? We want to know.

Speaking of undercover setups, the shot below appears to be related to the mission in "Chuck vs. the Zoom," although again, we don't quite know what to make of it. Sarah is in handcuffs, Casey is not, and Morgan (Joshua Gomez), the new Intersect, looks like he's out of commission.

The lack of cuffs on Casey makes us think the team might be running some sort of con. Because we don't see Casey turning his back on Carmichael Industries, at least not right off the bat.

We'll find out what all this means when "Chuck" premieres Friday, Oct. 28 on NBC. It should go without saying that we kind of can't wait.
