'American Idol's' Kellie Pickler on '90210': First look photos

Former "American Idol" finalist Kellie Pickler is best known for her country music chops, but she's about to give acting a shot on an upcoming episode of The CW's "90210."

Pickler is lucky in that her character isn't much of a stretch. She'll play Sally, a country singer who is cousin to Austin (Justin Deeley).

In early September, Pickler wrote on Twitter, "Had a blast filming with the cast of 90210!! So exciting!!!"

Austin has quite the talent in his family. In an upcoming episode we'll be introduced to his father, who will be played by Billy Ray Cyrus.

Pickler's episode airs Oct. 18. Cyrus will join the show in season's eighth episode, which will air in Nov.
