'American Idol' Season 11 premieres Jan. 22 - the incredible journey begins

"American Idol" debuted a new commercial during Game 4 of the World Series. It featured judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest walking along a Hollywood backlot city street and getting a mob of United Colors of Benetton youngsters to follow them like they were the Pied Pipers of Hamlin.Two things strike us (other than the weird Pied Piper thing) - first off, did you catch Randy Jackson trying to hold J.Lo's hand and she letting it drop because no one is going to hold J.Lo's beautiful hand in his giant sweaty paw. And secondly, the tagline was "the incredible journey begins."
The judges are totally the "Incredible Journey" animals - J.Lo is Sassy the cat, Tyler is the crazy hyper Chance and Randy is the old, ready to be put out to pasture Shadow (RIP, Don Ameche).
So "American Idol" is back Jan. 22! Woo and hoo. If you missed it, video below.
