'Absolutely Fabulous' reunion photos inspire hope for 'Arrested Development' news

If the news of additional episodes and a film continuation of long-dead "Arrested Development" has you skeptical, this might brighten your day.

The upcoming reunion specials for British comedy "Absolutely Fabulous" are well underway. EW posted first look photos of Patsy (Joanna Lumley) and Edina (Jennifer Saunders) on set, doing two of the three things they do best: shopping and riding in limos (alcoholic beverages are conspicuously absent...)

As previously reported, three "AbFab" specials will start rolling out in early 2012 on BBC America and Logo -- which recently started airing the original series in syndication.

"Absolutely Fabulous" originally premiered in 1992 and has since aired a total of five spread out seasons. Saunders, who also created the series, last appeared on screen with Lumley in 2006 for British comedy "Clatterford."
