TV ratings: 'Up All Night' premiere solid for NBC, 'Survivor' down some Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011The "America's Got Talent" finale was down a little from last year's season ender, but it still provided a solid platform to launch NBC's new comedy "Up All Night." Companion comedy "Free Agents" wasn't so fortunate, though, and the debut of "Survivor: South Pacific" was also a little low.
And it would appear we are a nation of "H8Rs," as The CW's celeb-boosterism reality series got off to a pretty meager start. "America's Next Top Model" took a tumble as well.
NBC led the way Wednesday night with 12.2 million viewers and a 7.4 rating/12 share in households. CBS (9.2 million, 5.5/9) came in second. ABC finished a distant third with 4.5 million viewers and a 2.9/5, followed by FOX at 2.9 million and 2.0/3. The CW's reality premieres averaged 1.6 million viewers and a 1.1/2.
The race was a little closer for the adults 18-49 crown, but NBC still came out on top with a 3.3 rating. CBS grabbed second with a 3.1. ABC's 1.4 was good enough for third. Neither FOX (0.8) nor The CW (0.7) could get above the 1.0 line.
