TV ratings: CBS, 'Big Brother' lead an NFL-boosted Thursday

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011CBS scored a ratings win Thursday thanks to "Big Brother," but its numbers and those of ABC, FOX and NBC are all inflated thanks to coverage of NFL preseason games in local markets.
The numbers might change, but the order of finish probably won't. As it stands now, CBS led the night with 8.6 million viewers and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households. ABC grabbed second with 5.9 million viewers and a 3.9/6, beating out FOX (5.25 million, 3.5/6). NBC (4.8 million, 3.2/5) took fourth. The CW drew 1.1 million viewers and a 0.8/1.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating. ABC and NBC tied for second at 1.6, while FOX delivered a 1.4. The CW trailed at 0.4.

Why is anyone still watching this show?
Anyone with an IQ over 2 can see that Big Brother on CBS is fixed.
This is a scripted show not a reality show. It is just like a soap opera.
Big Brother is not real, it is just bad entertainment.

Big Brother is nothing more than a legal whorehouse, yest people still watch this crap, just like Jersey Shore and anything else resembling reality TV nowadays.
Keep your rude opinions to yourself Sylvester , true CBS is for old people and the host of the big brother is doing the old man boss who runs the network to host this show, but regardless show class.
ABC was great last nIght, rookie blue desrves to win the Emmy for the best drama series.
I think the onemillionmoms.com campaign to get viewers to stop watching ABC is allready starting to have an effect on their ratings. I know the new season hasn't started yet but ABC's ratings for it's low rated summer shows are dropping dangerously bad. Onemillionmoms.com could actually collapse ABC if it manages to kill DWTS' ratings. They are also preparing to wage a boycott of the advertisers. Stay tuned.
I LOVE BIG BROTHER!!!!! i've never missed a season OR episode. I rooted for you last season Rachel and I'm rooting for you again this season. May you and Brendon have an awesome weeding, and future. :)
