'The Walking Dead' season 2 promo: Slim chances

Options quickly evaporate when the world is reduced to an obstacle course filled with flesh-eating undead with an unshakeable instinct to hunt you down and gnaw on your arm.

In the newest "The Walking Dead" promo, Sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) talks about limited choices faced by his rag-tag band of zombie-pocalypse survivors as they push their luck in a world full of walkers. What to do? Stay put? Run? Run where?  

We also get a peek at some fissures opening up in relationships. There's talk of splitting up as some of the survivors start to question Rick's leadership skills.

"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC on Sunday, Oct. 16.
