Our latest batch of TV Snacks include a whole mess of new pilots and a sneak peek at a series that doesn't premiere for another month...

- USA Network is pursing the half-hour comedy, ordering two pilots for single-camera laughers. One, from "I Don't Know How She Does It" director Doug McGrath, follows an out-of-work actor, with Nathan Lane currently in negotiations to play the lead. [THR]

- The series finale of "Entourage" pulled in a bigger audience than it saw during all of Season 8. HBO's buddy comedy went out with a draw of 2.6 million during its 10:30 p.m. broadcast, with an additional 528,000 tuning in for the 12:15 a.m. encore. [TVBTN]

- "Ugly Betty" creator Silvio Horta is going into business with FOX. The writer/producer sold the network a pilot for a family drama, centering on three Latina sisters, which he's executive producing with "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez. [Deadline]

- The season opener(s) for "Monday Night Football" brought in big numbers for ESPN. The first game of the doubleheader, between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, averaged 14.6 million viewers, the second-best opener for "MNF" since it moved to cable (behind last year's Jets-Ravens game). The nightcap between the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos drew 11.1 million viewers. [ESPN]

- And for those of you who can't wait for the Oct. 2 premiere of Showtime's national security thriller "Homeland," the network has released the pilot online:
