Lady Gaga to rock New Year's Eve with Times Square concert

As if Times Square isn't chaotic enough during New Year's Eve, imagine what will happen when thousands of "Little Monsters" descend on Manhattan to ring in 2012.That's just what going to happen as Lady Gaga is confirmed to perform at the 40th annual "New Year's Rockin' Eve."
Ryan Seacrest, host of the ABC special says in a statement, "Lady Gaga is one of the most exciting and relevant artists of our time, and we're thrilled to have her join 'New Year's Rockin' Eve' this year in Times Square."
The program will feature five and a half hours of performances from New York and around the world. Back again to host the West Coast portion of the show is Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas.
ABC begins the broadcast at 8:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 31.
