'Homeland' preview: Claire Danes turns debriefing into tense interrogation

Don't expect Showtime's new drama, "Homeland," to make it clear who you're supposed to believe.

The political thriller, which premieres Oct. 2 after the Season 6 premiere of "Dexter," follows a CIA officer (Claire Danes) investigating a recently liberated P.O.W. (Damian Lewis) she's convinced is working as an Al Qaeda agent.

Unfortunately, that theory doesn't float with a government lauding the freed solider as a hero. And in the latest clip from the new series (above), you can see the resistance Danes' character faces when asking her suspect about his 8 years locked up abroad.

"Homeland" also boasts Mandy Patinkin as Danes' boss and co-conspiracy-theorist and recent "V" star Morena Baccarin as Lewis' wife.
