Holly Robinson Peete 'officially' leaving 'The Talk'
Just days away from its season premiere, "The Talk's" line-up is still in play. Already the CBS chatfest, created by "Roseanne" alumna Sarah Gilbert, gave Leah Remini the heave-ho in August. And on Friday (Sept. 2), Holly Robinson Peete blogged that she's been "officially" not invited back for season 2."After weeks in limbo, I was finally 'officially' given word from CBS today that I have not been picked up for the 2nd season of The TALK," Robinson Peete wrote on her personal blog. "I realize there have been several reports and 'leaks' for sometime to this effect but until today I was not contractually released which prevented me from moving on and finding other work."
She continued:
"While I am relieved to have this closure, it doesn't diminish my disappointment one bit about not continuing with a show I worked very hard to launch and love dearly. But I've been around long enough to know that while you cannot control certain situations you CAN control how you respond to them. Thank you to CBS for a tremendous opportunity to realize a long held dream of mine to host a daytime talk show. I learned SO much and will cherish and build upon my experience. Best of all I made some friends for life."
So what will the talk show look like when it returns on Sept. 6? Gilbert will be back -- along with Julie Chen and (eventually) Sharon Osbourne. Reality TV mom Kris Jenner will also be joining the show for a multi-week guest stint on the show this fall.
[Update: According to The Wrap, former "SNL" comic Molly Shannon will join "The Talk" as guest-host for the month of September.]

she & leah were the ONLY reasons to watch. Chen keeps her job as she sleeps with the boss,Gilbert "invented" the show plus she is gay so it wouldnt play to get rid of her....this time. Bet the shows Tanks!
Boo CBS!! Leah was great and I LOVE Holly!! Julie is married to the network boss and Sarah helped create/produce the show. That seems kinda rotten that they would oust two great talents to what will now be a bland show! I'll stick with The View and ABC, thank you!
This is terrible...the 2 reasons I kept with the Talk are leaving??? I don't get it, they were the best part of the show....Lean and Sara together were hilarious...and Holly was just plain funny on her own...and there mothers must be devistated, they were in audience every day...BOO CBS!!!
Big mistake will no longer watch along with many others.
All my family and friends love Leah and Holly and are all very disappointed in CBS. We probably won't watch the Talk anymore as it will not be as honest and entertaining.
I watched a couple times. Sara was the main reason I stopped watching. She contributed absolutely nothing to the entertainment factor. Blah and boring. What she talked about I can't relate to. Holly was okay. Leah was a riot. Sharon was alright but predictable by now. I couldn't relate to Julie because she seemed snobbish and not relative to an everyday woman like myself. I had to intentions of ever watching again anyway. Esp. with the guests they have lined up.
I will definitely not be watching The Talk anymore. I thought Leah and Holly really made the show great.
NOT GOING TO WATCH THIS SHOW ANYMORE, JULIE CHEN NEEDED TO BE FIRED!!!!
Not going to watch this show anymore, if anyone should have gone it was Julie Chen!!
No Leah and no Holly means this Hollie will NOT be watching "The Talk" anymore and have removed it from my DVR schedule.
