FOX pushes 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter' to even later in November

i-hate-my-teenage-daughter-delayed.jpgThe latest premiere for any of the fall's new network series just got a little later.

FOX has bumped the debut of its comedy "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" back one week. The show had been scheduled to premiere Wednesday, Nov. 23 -- the day before Thanksgiving -- but is now set for Nov. 30.

What to make of the one-week delay? We're not entirely sure. "Teenage Daughter" was booked for such a late start in the first place because its lead-in, "The X Factor," will run for two hours on Wednesday nights for much of the fall before trimming back to 90 minutes.

The delay probably won't make a huge difference one way or another in the fortunes of "I Hate My Teenage Daughter." Whether it premieres on Nov. 23 or Nov. 30, it likely won't get a long run before the networks enter their pre-Christmas rerun cycle.

"I Hate My Teenage Daughter" stars Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran as two moms who are worried that their daughters (Kristi Lauren and Aisha Dee) are becoming mean girls.

FOX hasn't decided yet what will fill the 9:30 p.m. ET spot on Nov. 23.

That night before Thanksgiving premiere date always seemed strange to me. Pushing it back a week is probably a good idea.
