'Drop Dead Diva' lives for another season

Those of you worried about the future of "Drop Dead Diva" as it heads into its season finale need not fret: It will be back.

Lifetime announced Thursday (Sept. 22) that it's picked up a fourth season of the dramedy, which stars Brooke Elliott, Margaret Cho, Kate Levering, Josh Stamberg and Ben Feldman. The Season 3 finale is set to air at 9 p.m. ET Sunday (Sept. 25).

"'Drop Dead Diva' is a signature series for Lifetime that continues to resonate with audiences with its heart and humor," Lifetime president and general manager Nancy Dubuc says. "We are thrilled to bring it back for another season."

The series is averaging 2.3 million viewers this season and leads its time period on cable among the female viewers Lifetime targets.
