'America's Next Top Model': 'Booty tooch' is a thing now
In addition to smizing and whatever other weird stuff Tyra Banks has made up over the years, "America's Next Top Model" has now given us "booty tooch."Post-Panel
Allison is wearing an animal hood around the house and talking about how weird she is. Huh. The next morning, Kristin Cavallari shows up. Yet another random guest judge who will not offer anything constructive.
The Challenge
At The Grove in Los Angeles, the girls are going to be interviewed in groups by Mario Lopez (currently of that awful, awful show "H8R") or Alfred Clifford Slater, as he will always be known to me. Lisa and Bianca get to pick the teams, so it ends up Lisa, Laura, Lex, Isis, Dominique, Angelea and then Bianca, Allison, Bre, Camille, Shannon and Kayla. And then Nigel drops a bomb - the winning team is safe at judging. Wow. That is a lot of girls.
The interviews go OK - both Lisa and Bianca are a little "word vomit" leaing, while Isis and Allison totally kill it and Kayla is good too. Everybody else is just kind of in the middle. Bianca's team ends up winning, which surprises me just a bit. The overall winner is Allison, who gets her own "Extra" interview.
The Photoshoot
They are on stilts and working in pairs. Yikes. They are paired one losing team/one winning team. The pairs are Isis/Camille, Dominique/Kayla, Lisa/Bianca, Allison/Angelea, Laura/Bre, Alexandria/Shannon. At least they are in harnesses while on the stilts.
Kayla and Dom only do so-so. Bianca is having a fit because she's afraid of heights, which, as Lisa points out - what is she NOT scared of? Camille and Isis make some crazy poses and are a little out of control.
Camille then snottily says in a talking-head, "I need to go up there and I need to deliver because how am I going to have somebody's who transgendered do a better job than the actual 'real' woman." I hope she goes home and gets clipped by a bus on the way. What a witchy thing to say. But of course she's safe. Argh.
Bianca cries again. Lordy. Lisa tries so many interesting things that Bianca just fades away into the background. The same thing happens in another duo - Allison is being awesome and Angelea is worried about being outshined by someone who is safe already, but she just can't do produce.
Laura and Bre do pretty well and Shannon and Alexandria do a great job, though Alexandria is milking her being out of control for all its worth.
Panel
Alexandria and Shannon are first - they have an awesome picture. Angelea and Allison also have a fantastic picture. Allison does look stronger - her face is better and her legs are stronger, plus she has a "booty-tooch," as Tyra says.
Dominique and Kayla's shot is weird. Very unbalanced. Dominique is much stronger, but luckily she's the one who's in danger, so that's OK.
Isis and Camille's shot sucks. It's boring and plain and their faces are terrible. Laura and Bre are great. Andre's critique that Bre is a "Blade Runner" robot is spot-on and Laura looks amazing. Lisa and Bianca have a very cool shot where Bianca is holding up Lisa's leg.
I think Isis is in trouble. They had the only bad picture. Maybe Dominique, but I think she was the stronger part of her picture.
Elimination
The safe girls go first - best photo goes to Allison, followed by Bianca, Shannon, Bre, Kayla and Camille. When Tyra gives Camille her photo, you can tell she's basically saying if Camille was on the losing team, she'd be bottom 2.
The losing team is next. Best photo goes to Alexandria, followed by Lisa, Laura, Dominique and then Bottom 2 is Angelea and Isis. I think Isis should go home.
Tyra makes sure to point out these girls just happened to be on the losing team, but do not have the worst photos. And then Isis goes home. Yeah.
