4 'Real Housewives of New York' fired; who's still standing?
It's gotta be a rough day in the Zarin household. Jill Zarin, one of the original "Real Housewives of New York" was let go from the franchise on Thursday (Sept. 15) along with model/photographer's ex Kelly Killoren Bensimon, social climber/Brooklynite Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop, who had been the most recent addition to the show.
According to the Huffington Post, all four women were contacted by Bravo on Thursday morning and had no warning that they were on the chopping block.
That leaves Countess LuAnn De Lesseps, True Faith jewelry magnate Romona Singer and divorcee Sonja Morgan. But De Lesseps already let slip that three new women will be added to the cast for the show's next season.
The unemployed housewives were reportedly told that they could be asked back if the new talent doesn't work out.
Ouch.
On Thursday afternoon, McCord tweeted that "there is no decision yet whether I'm in or out," and indicated that she's up for another year. No kidding. Zarin, a frequent tweeter, hasn't addressed the firing yet in 140 characters or less.
