'White Collar' summer finale: What. A. Cliffhanger.
So much good stuff happened on the "White Collar" summer finale. And the last scene totally bowled us over - huge surprise and very well done. But first ... Neal tells Mozzie he's not ready to go because he has a life in NYC and if he runs, he can't come back. So Mozzie gives him a 48-hour ultimatum to finally choose which side he's on.
Meanwhile, Agent Kramer (Beau Bridges) is in NYC from the D.C. Art Crimes division to help track down a new Degas they got wind of. Kramer knows Peter suspects Neal and cautions him about how hard it can be to arrest a Confidential Informant who has become your friend.
The Degas is currently residing with an arms deal and the FBI goes in to make an undercover trade of some machine gun briefcases, so Neal and Mozzie stage a very slick maneuver to swap a forged Degas (by Neal) with the real one.
Neal makes the swap, parachutes off a building and Kramer identifies the Degas Peter and Diana seize as a fake, saying it's the best forgery he's ever seen.
But - Keller is still lurking around and he threatens Mozzie because he wants the treasure. Right at the end, Peter gets a phone call from Keller, who says Neal has the treasure, and then Keller quotes a conversation Peter just had with Elle.
Peter gets home and in a chilling scene finds the FBI at his place and a spilled pot of spaghetti sauce. Elle's been kidnapped. And the look Peter gives Neal - heartbreaking. What a cliffhanger, oh my god!
Now - they wouldn't kill, Elle right? I'm sure they won't. But still, great twist that I honestly did not see coming.
What do you think, "White Collar" fans?

Oh, how will they get out of this one?
It upset me a little about how sure and somewhat pleased Peter was at finding Neal guilty.
I hope Neal blows up the treasure!
And we all know Elizabeth will be okay.
Best hour of my life.
This was an exciting episode, well written and well acted but I still can't get past that Peter seemed to want to find Neal guilty and Elle bought right in. In this whole season Peter has never really given Neal the benefit of the doubt. TD has played it so snarky that I just don't buy the deep friendship anymore. I may or may not watch in January but I certainly won't be anticipating it as I did the first two seasons when the chemistry was perfect. Mozzie is a selfish jerk. Let Keller take him down.
I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I've been pissed at Neal this entire summer series. I really just wanted him to do the right thing. The lengths he and Mozz went to to dupe Peter AND El. I really don't know how Peter will ever trust him again.
I had a feeling something was going to happen with Elizabeth because Tiffany Thiessen had made the media rounds, so it wasn't a huge surprise. I did love the way they revealed it, though. Tim DeKay is the man.
I do agree with you, Katharine. But I think the divide between Peter and Neal is going to grow because if Neal hadn't stolen the treasure (which Peter still suspects), Elizabeth never would have been taken. Winter can't come soon enough!
Why do they only give us 6 or 7 episodes at a time (they also do that on Leverage)? Makes it hard to get into the show. Seems like Burn Notice gives a lot more episodes at a time.
This was exciting and well-written but I won't be waiting anxiously for January as I did the first two seasons. The chemistry is gone. TD has played it so snarky and never given Neal the benefit of the doubt. Neal is supposed to have trouble deciding right from wrong but we were set up for two seasons to believe that good old Peter really cared about him and wanted to give him guidance. He and Elle seem to want Neal to fail just to prove Peter right. What a friend - if I was Neal, I would just go back to prison and finish my sentence and walk away a free man from all of these jerks like Peter and Mozzie.
I think this was the best of white collar. I was a little sick all season with them trying to force feed Sara on to us. I was about to not even see this, but I put trust in the writers.
This was by far the very best of the best this season so far. It had everything I love about this show. Everyone today was on their game. Beau Bridges was great as Kramer. I hope they keep this up for what is left of season 3 when it come back on.
What do I think? I think you either need to learn proper English, or you need to quit writing things that the public will see. Your spelling and grammar are absolutely atrocious.
Did you drop out of school before the seventh grade? You sure write like you did.
