TV ratings: Thursday 'Big Brother' rises again, gives CBS another win

Fast National ratings for Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011The latest elimination on "Big Brother" gave the show improved ratings for the third Thursday in a row, and it once again led CBS to an across-the-board ratings win in primetime.
CBS scored 6.3 million viewers and a 4.2 rating/7 share for the night. ABC (5.5 million, 3.4/6) was even with its performance last week. FOX claimed third with 4 million viewers and a 2.6/4, beating out NBC (2.6 million, 1.9/3). The CW came in at just under 1 million viewers and a 0.6/1.
CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic, albeit with only a 1.8 rating. ABC finished second in the demo with a 1.6, followed by FOX at 1.2. Neither NBC (0.9) nor The CW (0.3) got over the 1.0 mark.

ABC: "Wipeout" (6.6 million viewers, 3.8/7 households
CBS: "The Big Bang Theory" rerun (6.3 million, 4.2/8)/"Rules of Engagement" rerun (5.3 million, 3.6/6)
FOX: "So You Think You Can Dance" results (5.2 million, 3.4/6)
NBC: "Community" rerun (2.1 million, 1.5/3)/"Parks and Recreation" rerun (2 million, 1.4/2)
The CW: "The Vampire Diaries" rerun (1.2 million, 0.8/1)
18-49 leader: "Wipeout" (2.0)

CBS: "Big Brother 13" (7.3 million, 4.6/7)
ABC: "Expedition Impossible" (4.8 million, 2.9/5)
FOX: "Glee" (2.9 million, 1.9/3)
NBC: "The Office" rerun (2.4 million, 1.6/3)/"30 Rock" rerun (2.05 million, 1.4/2)
The CW: "Plain Jane" rerun (785,000, 0.5/1)
