TV Ratings: 'The Bachelorette' dominates Monday night

Fast national ratings for Monday, Aug. 1, 2011ABC's all-night "Bachelorette" fest delivered steady, if not particularly exciting, numbers for the network on Monday evening. The only other new programming -- FOX's "Hell's Kitchen" and "Masterchef" -- sopped up the most of the remaining iewers, leaving the rest adrift in a sea of August re-runs.
ABC averaged 9.4 million viewers and a 6.2 rating/10 share in households for the evening. FOX wasn't too terribly far behind (5.4 million, 3.2/5). CBS (4.4 million, 3.0/5) came in third overall, with NBC (just 3.6 million, 2.4/4) and The CW (504,000, 0.4/1) finishing last.
ABC was also the overall 18-49 leader, with a 2.7 rating.
Monday hour-by-hour:
8 p.m.
ABC: "The Bachelorette" (8.9 million viewers, 6.0/10 households)
FOX: "Hell's Kitchen" (5.4 million, 3.2/5)
NBC: "America's Got Talent" re-run (4.4 million, 2.7/5)
CBS: "How I Met Your Mother"/"Mike & Molly" re-runs (3.9 million, 2.6/4)
The CW: "Gossip Girl" re-run (532,000, 0.4/1)
18-49 leader: A tie between ABC's "The Bachelorette" and FOX's "Master Chef," both with a 2.4 rating.

FOX: "Masterchef" (5.3 million, 3.1/5)

How can FOX not be too terribly behind with a 5.4mil rating vs ABCs 9.4mil. 4 mil is a great difference.
