TV ratings: 'So You Think You Can Dance' up with final performances, CBS leads Wednesday

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011The final performance show of the season gave "So You Think You Can Dance" an uptick in the ratings Wednesday, helping FOX score a demographic win for the night. CBS finished on top in viewers, edging ahead of NBC, which saw "America's Got Talent" dip again.
CBS averaged 6.7 million viewers and a 4.5 rating/7 share in households for the night, topping the 6.3 million viewers and 3.9/6 for NBC. FOX (5.7 million, 3.6/6) finished third overall. ABC (4.1 million, 2.8/5) came in fourth, and The CW trailed with 1.1 million viewers and a 0.8/1.
FOX led a tightly bunched field in the adults 18-49 demo, scoring a 1.9 rating. CBS took second with a 1.8, and ABC and NBC tied for third at 1.7. The CW scored a 0.4.

Addendum: Univision beat all the English-language networks in adults 18-34 last night. Last night's soccer friendly between USA and Mexico--Jurgen Klinnsman's debut as Team USA coach--scored a 1.8 in that demo. BTW, that match ended a 1-1 draw.

As usual while other networks tanked, abc originals wear powerhouse on Thursday night.
Nice to see abc have a great mix of reality and scripted. Even though last year on reality they had that pig Bristol on dwst, the Only contestant to get fatter as the season went on, lol
