'Top Chef' Texas: Season 9 takes Bravo competition to Austin, Dallas and San Antonio
Everything, as they say, is bigger in Texas. So it shouldn't come as much surprise that the Lone Star iteration of "Top Chef" will take the series' ninth season to three of the state's culinary capitals: Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
Bravo confirms the locations for the upcoming season of "Top Chef," which will premiere this fall, and also announced the addition of celebrity chefs Emeril Lagasse and Hugh Acheson to the panel of judges. Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Padma Lakshmi are also returning.
News of the locale first broke in July when a number of Texas outlets noticed the series was producing, but, as has become the case, Bravo likes to be coy about its "Top Chef" plans until closer to the premiere.
"Top Chef" won its first "outstanding reality competition program" Emmy in 2010, a category its nominated in again this year.

This show sucks
WOOT CAN'T WAIT
After the last couple seasons it doesn't matter where it's set. They need to find a way to stop people from floating through in the middle of the pack.
Curious to see Emeril because I think of him more as a character than an actual chef with knowledge of food.
