'LA Ink' canceled: Kat Von D joins Kate Gosselin at the TLC guillotine
TLC apparently decided this was the week to distance itself from some of its biggest stars. Just days after announcing that it would no longer document the moves of Kate Gosselin and her sizable brood, the network says Kat Von D vehicle "LA Ink" is ending as well.
"TLC has decided that the current season of 'LA Ink' will be its last," TLC in a statement. "The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles. The series finale will air September 15th at 10 p.m. [ET]"
That journey started on "Miami Ink," TLC's original tattoo parlor reality series, which ran 9 seasons until concluding its run in 2008. This isn't the end of the "Ink" franchise, though. "NY Ink" was recently renewed for a second season and a British incarnation, "London Ink," currently airs on TLC's international sister network, Discovery Real Time.
29-year-old Von D recently ended her engagement to Sandra Bullock's ex-husband Jesse James. Their unrealized wedding plans are featured in the current (and final) season of "LA Ink."

In my opinion, "LA Ink" took a severe turn off the side of a mountain when Hannah, Kim, and then Corey left High Voltage, and they brought on shop managers that caused mind-numbingly dreadful conflict with the rest of the staff. I think the show lost its way, and it's not as good as it was in the beginning.

In my opinion, LA Link is the best show on TLC. I am disappointed to see it cancelled.

YESSSSSSSSSSSS SIR!!! My children HATE REALITY shows, as well as my husband and me. Now, get RID of ALL THE REST OF THE REALITY SHOWS!! KARDASHIANS NEXT?? I have three children ages ranging 11-17 and ALL of us watch "I Love Lucy" and "The Andy Griffith Show" on a nightly basis. Now, THOSE ARE CLASSICS AND "REAL" family shows that are funny and entertaining! What is up with this world! Resorting to "no-talent wanna be actors"?? Thank you, but we'll continue to watch our nightly, comfortable shows! WAKE UP NETWORKS!!!
Angry much Georgie? I enjoy the tattoo shows as I'm amazed at the level of artistry by some of the really talented guys like Niko and Corey, but somehow it became about less about the tattoos and more about the manufactured "soap opera" of the cast. I think that's where it went wrong.

I'm gonna miss Nikko on L.A. Ink. :( It's too bad that Jesse James wrecked the show. But it's about damn time that Kate was taken off the air. DAMN TIME!
