'Glee's' Chord Overstreet to guest star on 'The Middle'

chord-overstreet-glee-singing-medium-320.jpgWhile we're still devastated by Chord Overstreet's exit from "Glee," we finally have some good news to report -- the trouty-mouthed actor won't be absent from our TV screens for long.

Overstreet is breaking out of the high school mold and... going back to school. Warner Bros. confirms to Zap2it that Overstreet will guest star on sitcom "The Middle," as Ralph Wickerson, Brick Heck's idealistic fourth grade teacher who gets a little over-involved in his student's life, if you ask Frankie and Mike. He doesn't exactly agree with their laid-back parenting methods.

Overstreet will be on set this week to film scenes for an episode airing on ABC on Sept. 28. No word yet on whether he'll randomly be breaking into song.

What do you think of this change of scenery, Gleeks? Weigh in below in our comments section.

overrated, can't sing, nobody cares about this show so it's the perfect place for him.

Seems like Chord Overstreet DID take the easy road. I had a feeling that he did not come back to Glee because he didn't like the long hours and hard work. WIthout Glee, Chord's fifteen minutes is going to be up very soon.

i'm happy to see him again on my TV screen :P

that's great - he's hot - i'll watch - i do like "The Middle" - i think it's a very underrated show
