'Glee': Anne Hathaway still waiting for her callback
Remember back in January when Anne Hathaway met "Glee" co-creator Ryan Murphy at the Golden Globes, and she was going to guest-star on the show, and it was all going to happen within a few weeks of that?Yeah -- it hasn't happened. But Hathaway hopes it still does.
"I'm planning on it. I don't know if they're planning on it," Hathaway tells PopSugar.
In the interview, the "One Day" star recounts the events of her Golden Globes meeting with Murphy, saying that she told Murphy she was a "Glee" fan when she passed by his table. He then said she should guest on the show, she said yes, and by the end of the night Murphy was telling reporters it was a done deal.
"He went back to the press room and said, 'Anne Hathaway is going to be on the show,' and that became like a news event," she says. "And I never heard from him again [laughs]. Ryan Murphy, I'm calling you out: I want to be on 'Glee.' I've got my songs picked out."
Will Murphy relax his no-stunt-casting edict for Hathaway this season? Do you think he should?

so much for "no guest stars" speech
Heck, yes. Get her on there for multiple episodes. She's awesome.
**** YEAH! I've been waiting for this. I was just thinking about this earlier this morning.
She IS awesome! She would be incredible on 'glee.'
They should only break the “no new guest stars” rule of the season for Hathaway. Considering she was supposed to star last season as Kurt’s Aunt or something. However, if she does come on the show, I hope to God they don’t let her character hog the spotlight like Gwyneth did. I would not mind them also breaking the rule for other guest stars to introduce the family members of the main characters. They need to show more than just Finn’s mom and Kurt’s dad, who conveniently got married (and will be irrelevant when the 2 kids graduate). The new writers should follow Community’s plan to introduce family members of the characters to give more background and give the show hope in surviving after characters graduate.
Now that they have new writers, maybe a guest spot can be done with equal balance. But the co-creators who solely wrote season 1 & 2 had no idea how to balance out screen time and storylines for the main cast, let alone guest stars. All in all, if it’s not a family member of one of the kids, then they should not do it. No more love interests for Will, I mean pretty much all the guest stars hook up with him and it just proves Sue was right when she called him a *****.
Also, to all those saying “so much for no guest stars,” are you really that surprised? I mean, from day one the co-creators have been spontaneously spewing lies and BS rumors about the show, Ryan Murphy is the worst of them all. You could write a book on all the lies told about the show from the creators. At this point, I think the best thing a fan of Glee can do is not take any news seriously until they see it come true on the show.
Girl needs to shut up and sit down. She's so annoying and desperate.
Anne is great and deserves to be on the show. She's funny, witty, and can sing & dance. She's perfect!
RecceR, I am sorry you still consider this show relevant. Where are all the fans considering the Glee movie is bombing? Could it be that no one really cares? Not even the "fans?"
Would be fun if Anne Hattaway would be the chaperone at the senior prom or prepare the Kurt and Finn graduation dinner at the Hummel house...and take Kurt to New York to meet his supervisor during his Vogue internship....
Kate..you are a C$NT.
