'Entourage': Mrs. Ari finally has a name

After seven years, one of TV's great mysteries is solved. On the Sunday (Aug. 28) episode of "Entourage" the name of Ari Gold's (Jeremy Piven) ex-wife, heretofore known only as "Mrs. Ari" (Perrey Reeves), was revealed.And it's... Melissa. Not only that, the door is apparently open for a possible reconciliation for the estranged couple.
Ain't final seasons grand?

Springfield was revealed to be in Northern Kentucky years ago in an episode called, "Behind the Laughs" that was a parody of Behind the Music.
The revelation of the name isn't the big deal to me, it's Ari's reaction to the name. What could possibly be so important about the name that Ari would suddenly change tacts like that?
john: because for the first time in a long while she wasn't his wife anymore. i think most everyone can agree that despite everything, ari really does love his wife and kids. they more often than not take a back seat to what he's doing but it has been shown time and time again that when push comes to shove he does love them. that said, by calling his wife 'mrs ari' or 'your/his wife' for several seasons, they've been able to now use that running gag as the setup to show that character felt like that's all she was... mrs ari. when bobby flay called her by name, ari saw her in that instant as no longer being his... and the fact that it was in their home made it that much worse. his reaction was ari being ari, when he gets upset... he lashes out.
When did he say that-I missed it. Also, who really gives a shiite what her name is-ever since she came onto the scene, she ruined Ari's character. Then they brought on kids, and every ep has to have half of it devoted to a friggin Ari story! Hes a SUPPORTING character, NOT main, dorks!
