Could Bruce Helford help Charlie Sheen's 'Anger Management'?

It appears Charlie Sheen's new show, the TV adaptation of the movie "Anger Management," is circling in on a showrunner. The leading candidate is Bruce Helford, the creator of "The Drew Carey Show" according to Deadline.com.

Helford has a long, successful history in television comedy having served as EP on "Roseanne" and creating "George Lopez." The show will be produced by Joe Roth and Lionsgate TV. Lionsgate's distribution arm, Debmar-Mercury, is looking for potential networks for the show.

Sheen can't wait to get going on the project.

He previously said he signed up with the show, "Because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept."

Sheen got booted from the hit comedy "Two and a Half Men" after going on a tirade against the show's EP Chuck Lorre.

hey why not..Helford can be a good writer..I would have loved to see a writer from movies coming on this project (since Joe Roth and Sheen are more from the movie business and seems these last years that movie writers are more creative and original when it comes to tv shows on cable channels..) but like i said why not Bruce Helford..looking forward to watch it, if the writing is good it could a really entertaining new show to watch !!

Someone tell Bruce he has a yacked hairball on his face.

Will Sheen be beating his 'wife' in the show too?

Maybe a sub plot could be how he exposes his children to spousal abuse therapy and the visits to drug rehab centers.
