TV ratings: 'America's Got Talent' steamrolls Tuesday competition

NBC aired three hours of "America's Got Talent" on Tuesday night, and all three hours scored big as the Peacock doubled up its closest competition in the ratings.

"AGT" gave NBC an average of 14.4 million viewers and an 8.2 rating/14 share in households for the evening. CBS was the best of the rest with 7.1 million viewers and a 4.6/8. ABC (4.8 million, 2.8/5) finished third, beating out FOX (4.1 million, 2.5/4). The CW drew 524,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.

NBC also dominated the adults 18-49 demographic with a 4.2 rating (the two-hour episode from 9 to 11 p.m. scored the show's second-highest demo numbers ever). FOX finished a distant second at 1.8, followed by ABC, 1.5, and CBS, 1.2. The CW earned a 0.2.
