TV ratings: 'America's Got Talent' falls but still leads Wednesday

agt-july-13-ratings.jpgFast National ratings for Wednesday, July 13, 2011

The first eliminations on "America's Got Talent" didn't pull in the ratings the show has earned in recent weeks, but it was still the night's top show. It was not however, big enough to give NBC a win in the prime-time race.

That honor went to CBS, which averaged 7.05 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households to NBC's 6.95 million and 4.4/7. FOX (5.5 million, 3.6/6) came in third. ABC took fourth with 3.6 million viewers and a 2.4/4, and The CW trailed with 770,000 viewers and a 0.6/1.

There was a three-way tie at the top of the adults 18-49 ratings, with CBS, FOX and NBC all scoring a 1.9 rating in the demographic. ABC posted a 1.2 and The CW a 0.3.

CSI seems to be winning it's new time slot. It'll be interesting to see how Ted Dandon does in the fall. I heard they're bringing back Kirstie Alley to replace Shelly Long after she replaces Marg Helgenburger.

classictvguy...not funny ,get a life!

ABC is just a lost cause of a network.

ABC has always had clueless leadership. They have repeated The Middle and Modern Family to death and then bookend Modern Family with a comedy that is a disaster. They should have at least repeated the Better With You shows so that they would not have had to show The Middle reruns "a thousand times." Putting the icing on the cake was a PrimetimeNightline show that only 55 year olds and older MIGHT be interested in watching.
Give CBS lots of credit. For a network that hardly ever wins demo, they've been kicking a$$ in total viewers DECADE after DECADE after DECADE. That's indisputable.

But to M E O W and her alter egos, she'll continually praise the daylights out of ABC, considering she uses pumpernickel for brains. ABC sucks!

I think we should all make it our life's mission to make "Love in the Wild" the highest rated show of the summer! Need I say more?
