'True Blood': Eric and Sookie - new couple alert?
Oh, what tangled webs we weave on "True Blood." With Bill being the Vampire King of Louisiana, Sookie having dumped him once she found out he was sent to procure her for Sophie-Anne then disappearing for a year and Eric having his memory zapped by the witches and shacking up at Sookie's house, we all knew this was coming, right? But Sunday night (July 31), Sookie and Eric finally acted upon the seasons worth of sexual tension and chemistry we've seen them exhibit. In a moonlit, sweaty tumble, no less. So what does this mean?
Is this a new couple alert? Are they together now? Will it end up being like Sookie's Gran said - temporary? If I had to bet, I'd bet on Gran. When the witches replace Eric's memories, will he remember this time with Sookie? And if he does, will that make him even harsher than before, after having shown so much care and humanity?
Secondly, I'm very curious for those of you "True Blood" fans who have read the books - does this happen in the books? Or is this hook-up a byproduct of Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard's amazing on-screen chemistry?
Either way - quite the twist in Bon Temps.

in the books they do hookup and they kinda continue a relationship thru out the entire series soooo let's hope they do in the show *team eric*
I have read all the Sookie Stackhouse books and yes, Eric does lose his memory. There is a witch storyline in book four but how Eric loses his memory is different than how he loses it in the show. The Marnie character is younger and her & her coven are hopped up on "V" if memory serves me correctly. Of course the writers of the show are going to write a different plotline than the book.
I am all for the Sookie and Eric relationship. In the books, they are the Main couple. Throughout each book, they are together with some ups and downs.. I hope this is the way the show will go. They are so HOT together

In the books, when Eric regains his memory he forgets what he did during his bout of amnesia. And Sookie sure knew not to let him in on the secret. But he figured something happened, and he eventually regained his memories a few more books in. Regardless, it was the start of the Sookie/Eric story that's still going on as of the last book. But the way this season is going, I wouldn't place any money on Alan Ball following the plot of the books. I'm still mad we got gypped out of the Sookie/Eric shower scene and the Eric-in-the-red-Speedo scene, lol.
I can see this show coming to an end
soon there's is nothing hot about truebloods Sookie/Eric
I almost want to start watching again now that Sookie and Eric are together.
I hope Alan Ball will follow the book with LOTS of Sookie and Eric sex, ESPECIALLY the shower! I also hope that it is as beautiful and sensual as the book, and not one of Ball's bloody, perverted messes.
If all of you who KEEP on defending Alan Ball, don't SEE even NOW, that he obviously has NO intention to EVER do the Eric Sookie storyline any justice....Well good luck with your ignorant hopes.Ball's story is ALWAYS going to lead directly back to BILL being the true hero. After suffering thru a 3 season wait for the Eric/Sookie story to finally be told...He then rushes thru the whole thing in just seconds of screen time > First, Eric gets cursed one episode... then BAM> they kiss..then BAM> Eric gets dragged away by Bill... then, BAM> Hero Bill lets him go again... then BAM> the (dark crappy )sex scene. It was presented as if Ball was saying "THERE, NOW EVERYBODY CAN SHUT UP ABOUT IT and I can go back to focusing on my BILL" Where were all the tender, sweet interaction scenes between Eric and Sookie that led up to them getting together? Oh R-I-G-H-T .. I forgot...the time was used up for SIDE STORIES no one cares about.
