Russell T Davies has a television track record we're quite fond of.

In addition to revamping the current iteration of the classic "Doctor Who" (now helmed by Steven Moffat), Davies created spin-off "Torchwood" and the original "Queer as Folk" and has written for umpteen other British series during his career. Now he may be bringing a new series to the states.

Deadline reports Davies is currently developing a drama for Showtime called "Cucumber."

At the moment there are few (read: no) details on the series, but the pilot script was written by Davies.

The American remake "Queer as Folk," initially developed by Davies, ran for five seasons on Showtime -- and is one of the network's biggest hits.

It isn't an all-American project, though. BBC Worldwide is producing.

Davies latest project --"Torchwood: Miracle Day," itself a co-production between the BBC and US cable network Starz -- begins its 10-episode run on July 8.
