'Supernatural' alum Alona Tal joins FX's 'Powers' pilot

File this under all-good very-awesome news.

"Supernatural" and "Veronica Mars" star Alona Tal has been cast in FX's superhero pilot "Powers." Writer Brian Michael Bendis confirmed the news on his official Twitter account and revealed she will be playing Zora.

"Powers" is based on the comic book series by Bendis and Michael Avon Oemig and follows detective Christian Walker (Jason Patric) and his partner Deena Pilgrim (Lucy Punch), who investigate crimes against superheroes.

In the comics, Zora appears to have immortality and possesses a great capacity for memory. She also has an interesting history with Walker.

Tal isn't the only "Supernatural" alum to join the project -- AOL TV recently reported that Titus Welliver -- a.k.a. War --  will play Triphammer.

Tal most recently appeared on AMC's "The Killing" and ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars."
