'Project Runway' returns. Get those hash tags ready

"Project Runway" fans, prepare to get your tweeting on this season.

The Lifetime reality competition is entering the social media circus by allowing fans to vote for their Fan Favorite via Twitter hash tags that will appear throughout the show on each contestants name card.   

"'Project Runway' fans are extremely passionate users of social media and even more passionate about expressing their allegiance to their favorite designers," says Evan Silverman, SVP of digital media for A+E Networks, to Lost Remote. "So it's natural to leverage that force with Fan Favorite and provide one more reason for them to interact with Lifetime's top reality show."

While the hash tags won't have any influence on who the judges send home, it will award one lucky designer $10,000 in cash regardless of if they make it to fashion week or not. Fans can watch the results in real time on MyLifetime.com.
