'Gossip Girl' Season 5: Penn Badgley wants to see Dan and Blair 'explored'
Do you "Chair" or do you "Dair"? Or are you rooting for Prince Louis? Bueller?This seemed to be the question going into the last half of "Gossip Girl's" fourth season... and it's still the question going into Season 5.
Let's recap Blair's (Leighton Meester) romantic endeavors in the Season 4 finale, shall we?
Chuck (Ed Westwick) saved Blair from crazy fire-lovin' Russell Thorpe, she slept with Chuck after crashing a Bar Mitzvah, she wanted to break up with the Prince but Chuck convinced her not to (character development!), she left the UES for Monaco and is still engaged to Louis and, finally, she promised to keep watching movies with Dan (Penn Badgley) after copying his queue.
And yes, this all basically happened in one night.
So what is Badgley hoping to see happen between "Gossip Girl's" odd couple when the show returns on Sept. 26?
"The most fun I've had in years were the Dan and Blair scenes because the dialogue is given an opportunity to go where it doesn't go with Dan otherwise," he tells EW's Sandra Gonzalez. "I really enjoy that. I would like to see that explored."
Spoiler Alert -- Badgley and Meester were spotted filming scenes together in New York this week, so it looks like Lonely Boy will be getting his wish.

Shiny, it looks like we'll get Dair next season after all if they're having Penn promote it!
IDK if I'm looking forward to GG at all next season, but it would be nice if EVERYTHING on the show was up to par with how good Dan/Blair was. I liked the Juliet story line + Dair last season, but that was pretty much it.
I just wish Blair wasn't pregnant, that's so stupid.

I wouldm't mind some Dair or Blair having a proper,realistic shot at a career storyline, but Chair just needs to stay dead forever.

Dan is insufferable and him and Blair had this brother/sister chemistry. Chuck and Blair all the way. Though Dan can braid Blair's hair and have movie night's whenever, maybe even a pillow fight and some ice cream.
I am looking forward to Dair. Chuck and Blair's story is tiresome, especially after the all the abuse involved in it.
I think I would prefer a pillow fight and ice cream or any DAIR interaction rather than, actual fights involving broken glass and cut faces anyday but maybe that is just me.
I think so much is pointing towards many DAIR scenes next season and I am looking forward to it.
Also Tierney I love all you articles on Dan and Blair, and the shows portrayal of abuse.
Dair are terrible and I won't watch. It's really no surprise this site is pimping them since some of it's "reporters" are rabid DB fans. I'll watch Chuck and Blair not Dair.
No thanks to DB and I could care less what Mr. Penn wants. Dan is as boring as Vanessa and Jessica tried to make Chuck and Vanessa happen and is gone now. I will you tube until Chuck and Blair come back.
