'Gossip Girl' casts 'Stargate Universe's' Brian J. Smith
If "Gossip Girl" lacks anything, it's love interests for Serena (Blake Lively). Are we right or are we right?TVLine reports that "Stargate Universe" actor Brian J. Smith will be joining the CW show for a six-episode arc. Smith will make his "GG" debut in the Season 5 premiere on Monday, Sept. 26.
Don't expect to see Smith gallivanting on the Upper East Side though -- His scenes as a chef named Max take place in Los Angeles a.k.a. Serena's summer vacation spot.
Could Smith's Max be a potential love interest for everyone's favorite UES blonde? Considering she had four boy-toys in Season 4 (Count 'em -- Nate, Dan, Colin and Ben), we're thinking viewers will be getting their vicarious smoochies via the attractive duo.

This show casts the most feminine looking men in the world. Every one of Serena's guys is mistaken for being gay by most of the audience. Curious indeed.
Hopefully this is the last season. It already looks like this season will be full of guest stars. It is sad how this show has decreased in quality.
I would love to see the main cast interact more not see more guest stars.

Oh brother, more guest stars. This is why the show sucked so badly the second half of last season: They isolated all the cast but DB and added more guest stars. When are they going to learn we care about the main cast and their relationships - not the guest stars? I want SB, CB, CN, NB, NS, and CS interaction (basically all interations of the NJBC) but all we're getting is a little bit of CS and NS in the premiere. Terrible idea.
I was actually excited for Serena storyline and the possibility of her focusing on her career, and now it's seems to be back to same old. Hopefully, her storyline will be about her career and not boys, oh right, it always end-up being about boys for all of the girls on this show.
I am not into guest stars so I do not care. I care about Chuck and Blair, the NJBC, and Serena. The rest are so boring.
Well considering he has major gay face i'd say Eric's Boyfriend.
