'Friday Night Lights': Relive the series finale's final moments

fnl-finale-last-scene.jpgWe've gone on at some length about how great the series finale of "Friday Night Lights" is, and we suspect we'll be watching it several more times in the coming days and weeks.

But if you don't have time to absorb the full 60-plus minutes of the pitch-perfect finale, NBC has thoughtfully provided the closing scenes for you. The final seven minutes of "Always," starting with the last play of the Lions' season at the state championship game, is below.

We won't say anything else (except that we have "buy 'Devil Knows You're Dead' by Delta Spirit" on the top of the iTunes to-do list) and just let you watch the final seven minutes of one of our favorite TV series ever. Oh, and have some tissues at hand.

Enjoy.

What an emotional ending. FNL will live on forever.

Amazing Show. Episode. Season. Series. Hope the show or one of the leads win the Emmy finally..

Texas, forever! I will truly miss Friday Night Lights... characters were amazing!!!

It sucks FNL never got good ratings that it should have because seriously its one of the best shows out there. Great cast great writing just great great great show.

Really a perfect, satisfying ending to one of the greatest shows ever. It was emotional and featured "happy endings" across the board without being inauthentic, which is the whole show in a nutshell.

LOVED the series but was a little thrown off by the finale. Why is tyra all of a sudden into Riggins again? So random, like you'd think the person she wanted to see if she came back would be landry but nope, no scenes between them, landry's character as a whole was kinda just brushed aside near the end. And they set it up like Tyra and Riggins were these star crossed lovers out of nowhere! Like LILA was Riggins starcrossed lover, not some girl he hooked up with a couple times in the first season? And what was up with Matt and Julie getting engaged? So random. She;s freaking 18! At least get a promise ring and wait till she's done university!

this show was still on the air ?????

I've never posted an online review about a TV show before but felt compelled to do so after the series finale of FNL. This is truly one of the best shows, bot the writing and acting EVER, and the fact that it's been cancelled, while shows like Jersey Shore, Toddlers & Tiaras and Housewives of ... Is all too telling of American society and culture these days. What a TERRIBLE shame...

I remember when I tried to watch the first episode, I turned it off in the first 15 minutes because it sucked. Iam glad this boring piece of crap is finally over

Phil must be one of those people watching Jersey Shore instead of great shows like FNL. You, like your jersey shore watching friends, epitomize everything thats wrong with this world. Thanks for sucking.
