Emmys 2011: Who should win outstanding lead actor in a drama series? Vote now!

Even though the Emmys are a couple of months off, it's never too early to voice your opinion on who should win in the major categories. This first poll takes a look at the nominees for outstanding lead actor in a drama, and it's a pretty good field.

With three-time defending winner Bryan Cranston ineligible because "Breaking Bad" didn't air during the eligibility period, the field is wide open for multiple nominees Jon Hamm, Kyle Chandler, Michael C. Hall and Hugh Laurie to claim the statuette.

Hamm seems to be the early favorite, and with good reason; his performance in Season 4 of "Mad Men" was among his best in the series' run. But you never know; after six nominations for "House," the academy might actually give Laurie his due this year. Hall was excellent as usual in "Dexter" and might get some attention. Finally, Chandler might also get some votes because the academy will want to pay tribute to "Friday Night Lights" as it rides off into the sunset.

But the two new nominees, Steve Buscemi and Timothy Olyphant, have gotten a lot of critical attention for their roles in "Boardwalk Empire" and "Justified," and a victory for either of them wouldn't be a big surprise.
