Chad Michael Murray on 'One Tree Hill' return: 'I would definitely do that'

Here we go. "One Tree Hill" fans have been waiting for the return of Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton since their characters mysteriously disappeared after the sixth season. No explanation has been offered for their absence, except for the title of the Season 7 premiere, "4:30 A.M. (Apparently They Were Travelling Abroad)."Now, Murray says he'd be open to returning to the show. "I honestly haven't heard a word. I haven't heard anything," he tells E!. "I know how much the fans want it, and for the fans, I think I would definitely do that. Absolutely."
Of course, we've heard this before from his former co-star, Burton, when she told Zap2it last August that she hadn't yet been asked to return but that she loved "One Tree Hill." Ultimately, though, she changed her tune. That said, everyone thought Season 8 would be the final season, and Burton has yet to be asked about a possible return in Season 9.
"I don't know where they're taking the storyline," Murray says. "It's all up in the air. I'm supposed to start shooting another movie in September, so if everything works out, we'll give one for the fans."
Murray also weighed in on his less-than-stellar reputation, noting that when he shot to fame on "One Tree Hill," he was "a kid" and didn't see things particularly clearly. Now, he says, he's reformed his ways. "I don't go out. I don't do any of those things anymore," he says. "I really like keeping a very low profile. When you're young and you're thrown into something that I was definitely not ready for--I'm human and screw up. I'm glad I went through it, I really am, because I wouldn't have come out the other side."
So, "One Tree Hill" fans, do you want to see CMM back as Lucas Scott one last time? We're loving the characters in place in Tree Hill now, but we have to admit, after the nostalgia-fest of the Season 8 finale, it seems only fitting that the series finale should feature a reunion between Lucas and his brother, Nathan.

I want CMM and Hilary back soo bad!! even if its for 1 episode.. I mean they could do a 10 yr high school reunion or something.. that would be AWESOME!!!!! FINGERS CROSSED AND PRAYERS BEING SAID!!!!!

CMM was thought to be an up and rising star when one tree hill began and movie roles offered in the early years, yet after his end on one tree hill he has really done nothing but two tv movies and has one movie coming out this year called renee but didn't star in a box office film since 2006 and a tv show since one tree hill season six ended back in 2008-09 season with the exception of the 2 movie for tv.
Don't get me wrong I enjoyed
Chad as Lucas on One Tree Hill and then season 6 hit. I thought him and peyton were the most boring couple on tv ever. It's not all their fault it had to do with the storylines for them. I did enjoy season 6 with nanny carrie getting shot by dan and being held captive but lucas and peyton just bored me to death. One Tree Hill should get more drama packed for its final season like they did for seasons 1-4 and 6. Season 8 was slow too except for the episode darkness on the edge of town that was a great episode!!!!
Definately want CMM back for the last season
Its obvious to me that Hilarie will not coming back to one tree hill and i dont blame her she moved on and its obvious that Mark and his diss writing of Peyton shows that things dont end on good therms and if i was her i would not coming back too a Chad return witheout Hilarie as a Leyton fan would not work for me.

OMG i want CHAD back!! the show has been decent but it will be a good end if he returns for the final season it started with lucas and nathan and it should end between them ! =)
Regardless of his level of success / fame since he left the show, he is still an, if not the, integral part of the show. Of course he should come back. Haha lol purr sad thin. Noww off to Yoda.
Hilarie changed her tune because she's full of ****! She just likes to string people along with this "do good'er" act of hers! She is insincere and manipulative! Just tells people what they want to hear so she can fit in and be adored! She's been in Wilmington recently and has been openly goading fans of OTH by posting videos of herself from Wilmington locations. She openly spoke of OTH yet made no mention of returning to the show. She knows how much people want her back and what people think when she's in Wilm. It's pretty cold to be vlogging from town but avoiding the huge pink OTH return elephant in the room. Total game player!
