'Big Brother's' Shelly Moore: The show is 'an awesome human experiment'

At 41, Shelly Moore is going to be the oldest "Big Brother" contestant this season, but she isn't going to let that bother her. She's a wife and a mother and a corporate executive who sees "Big Brother" as "an awesome human experiment."

"I'm going to put myself in a situation with all the skills that I have with a pretty unique cast of characters, people from all different walks of life, and see if the real traits that I have I can use to get by and get to the end and win," says Shelly. "And I think it'll really show you a lot about yourself. What do I do good, what do I do not-so-good, am I too trusting, am I too sensitive, am I too loud, am I too intimidating, you look at all those things."

We love her perspective on the game. We also like it that she wants to come back from the experience having made her daughter proud and having her name still intact.

"I think the people that get under my skin the most are egomaniacs, that are just all about being superstars and it's all about TV ... if people would realize it's really 15 minutes of fame and that when it's all said and done, you go back to being who you were before. You want to go back to who you were before and still have your name intact and have some class and dignity," says Shelly.

As far as an alliance goes, Shelly knows she'll have to let her guard down at least a little in order to find someone she can trust, someone who hopefully isn't secretly "snowing" her.

"I think loyalty is amazing," says Shelly. "They don't want to be tied to each other every day because I think those alliances get caught quickly. I'd like to align with someone who is comfortable in their own skin and can go play and do their own thing."

She also welcomes the twist aspect of the game, so won't she be surprised when she's joined by three pairs of former houseguests!

"I want the full experience o fall of it, the good, the bad, the ugly. Also, I think twists make you stay on your toes and make you think different," says Shelly. "You can't just get into the mind set where you just keep going, plodding along. I don't want to be a plodder, I want to be a racehorse."

And finally, as a married woman with a daughter, there will be no showmances for Shelly, which she thinks are crazy anyhow.

"I think it's crazy. I think that they stop playing for themselves. It's a three-month game. YOu can like them, you can meet up with them after the game, but don't get caught up with them in the game. You lose sight of what you're playing for," Shelly says.

"Big Brother" premieres Thursday, July 7 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

*****!!! bad example to set for your child!!! You are a lying thieving snake and YOU are next. Porka ain't gonna win against other 3 and ha ha Kalia can't play ha ha

Shelly is a back-stabbing coward. She set an awful example for her daughter! I really hope she is booted next week, and I hope it is Jordan that does it!!!

This person, who claims to be of such high morals and a great mother is a horrible, manipulative piece of garbage. She should be ashamed and she will find that her life will take a turn for the worst.

I just hope she can look at herself in the mirror cause they are all over the house. I hope when she looks at her daughter and husband she remembers what she did to someone who did a genuine favor for her to help her get through and how she spit in their faces. She will not win.

Shame on you....
You have no class.
Enjoy your future.
Must be the most hated person.
I hope your parents, can deal with your actions.

Wow great "MOM" figure. NOT!! Integrity blah blah. She has bad mouthed all the girls wearing the too small bikinis, the way they act ect and the one couple that trusted her, who stood up for her and helped save her backstabbed them! 1. I hope after all is said and done she doesnt WIN one cent. 2. I hope Jeff and Jordan snub her when all is over. 3. I hope her daughter Josie is dissappointed in her telling lies. 4. I hope that phone call Jordan gave her makes her feel bad for the rest of her life!

Can't you see Shelly you can't win anything and you said with Jeff and Jordan you would'nt get any money, well your not going to get any money anyway because you are a snake and a LOSER!!!

America is done with Shelly!!! she preaches morals. She just made the biggest mistake in her life! In one night her life is going to change for the worst. Everyone is going to hate her. Chainsmoking, backstabbing ***** that walks with a stick up her ***! No way she wins. If Rachael and Jordan go next they have 4 of the possible 7 votes. No way she gets their votes!!!

I agree with all the above comments. I am sooooo tired of her non-stop nonsense and blame game play, Trojan Horse my A...... All she does is wine, complain, promise all her undying loyalty and devotion (specially Jordon, one of the most genuinely nice people ever on the show) then turn around and stab them (specially, Jordon) in the back. In addition Shelly has the gall to criticize the one person in the house that is at least brave enough to be who she is, Rachael. Shelly should take this time that has been provided to her and take a good look at herself.

I can’t stand people who do for others then spend all there time complaining about it. Shelly might be a good wife and mother in the real world, but in the house of Big Brother it is clear that only her negative traits are displayed. It is really sad when her own daughter, when interviewed by Big Brother, even said she should just pick one side and stick with it and that she needed to stop lying, WOW…..

I hope Shelly takes the time to watch the season and see why she is getting so much negative feed back. We are never to old to learn from our mistakes and bad behavior. I hope she gets it.

I'm watching "Big Brother After Dark" on Showtime (Pacific time; 3:35am). Jeff is gone and Jordan is heart sick and crying. Not only because Jeff is gone, but, because Shelly broke her heart.

Shelly, you've spent a whole lot of time talking about all the shady things that everyone else this season has done, but, hands down this is the worst I've seen of all the "Big Brother" seasons. As I remember it, just a couple of nights ago ("Big Brother After Dark") you were poring your heart out to Jordan, in Jeff's HOH room. Telling her that you would never turn on them and that out of everyone in the house you would want to remain friends with them outside of the Big Brother. As a matter of fact you said this new friendship was worth much more then the money. Lying again, Shelly??? I'm so glad you are that honest, stand-up person you daily tell your roommates and viewers you are(NOT! What a joke! In truth Shelly you are the lowest of lows, slime. Oh and let's not forget the phone call from home Jordan gave you, out of the goodness of her heart. How was it for you? For Jordan, I guess it was a REALLY bad call.
