TV ratings: NBA Finals Game 5 dominates Thursday, 'SYTYCD' dips
Fast National ratings for Thursday, June 9, 2011The Dallas Mavericks' 112-103 win over the Miami Heat Thursday night gave ABC its best ratings of the NBA Finals so far and led the network to a big win. The game may have siphoned some viewers from "So You Think You Can Dance," which was down some from last Thursday's numbers.
ABC had 12.9 million viewers and a 7.6 rating/13 share among households in primetime, numbers that will likely change some in the final nationals because of the live NBA broadcast. CBS (7.2 million, 4.6/8) came in second, a little ahead of FOX's 6.9 million viewers and 4.2/7. NBC managed only 2.2 million viewers and a 1.5/3, but that was good enough to beat The CW, which drew just under a million viewers and a 0.7/1.
In the adults 18-49 demographic, ABC's 5.1 rating was better than the combined total of the other four networks. FOX was the best of the rest at 2.4, followed by CBS at 1.4. Neither NBC (0.8) nor The CW (0.3) got to the 1.0 mark.

Will NBC finally just get rid of lOve Bites once and for all and air it on saturdays, where we know it is destined to fail? Game 6 of the Finals should do even better numbers on Sunday and the CW is still a trainwreck.
