'The Walking Dead' Season 2: Pruitt Taylor Vince joins cast

"The Mentalist's" Pruitt Taylor Vince has joined the cast of AMC's "The Walking Dead" in the recurring role of Otis, TVLine reports.

In the "Walking Dead" graphic novels,Otis is described as good-natured and polite and meets Rick under less-than-pleasant circumstances. Otis is a foreman at Hershel's Farm, where most of Season 2 is set to take place.

Previously, Vince played Internal Affairs agent J.J. La Roche on "The Mentalist" and appeared on "Deadwood" and "Murder One."

"The Walking Dead" returns for its second season in October.

In case you missed it, AMC released a new featurette from day one of shooting Season 2, which included appearances by creator Frank Darabont and stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal and Sarah Wayne Callies.
