'The Walking Dead': Scott Wilson, 'Supernatural's' Lauren Cohan join cast

Production of the second season of AMC's zombie-pocalypse drama, "The Walking Dead," is well underway and new characters are being added to the mix. According to TV Guide, "Supernatural" alum Lauren Cohan and veteran actor Scott Wilson are joning the cast.

Wilson and Cohen will play the father/daughter team of Hershel and Maggie Greene, whose farm sheriff Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his band of survivors find in their journey along the road.

"He is the patriarch of the family," executive producer Gale Anne Hurd tells TV Guide. "He's a veterinarian with a great sense of humanity and a very unique take on the Walkers."

His daughter, Maggie, is in her twenties and becomes a love interest for one of the main characters.

The actors join Pruitt Taylor Vince as additions to the season 2 cast.
