'The Killing' returning for Season 2 at AMC
Watch your backs, people of Seattle. There's likely another mysterious murder in your city's fictional future.
With a week to go before the Season 1 finale -- and presumed reveal of Rosie Larson's murderer -- AMC has given the green light to another season of "The Killing."
Many wondered about the future of "The Killing," given its modest ratings (averaging 2.2 million of late) and restrictive plot, but the Danish series its based on, "Forbrydelsen," is entering its third season -- and third murder investigation.
"The Killing" joins "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad" and "The Walking Dead" as another AMC original to make it past its freshman series. "Rubicon" is the only AMC series to date to be canceled (something we're still sort of bummed about).

Happy to hear this...but I'm not sure how that will work...will it be a new cast with the exception of the cops...since I'm assuming this case will be closed next week.
I thought this show started out strong but has lost a lot of steam. Waiting to see how the finale plays out to decide if I'm back in for another season.
Awesome! I will be glad to watch the detectives solve more murders! I hope this show wins awards because the writing, the acting, the camera work and the moody music are all great.
I will wait for the season 2...now can't wait for The Walking Dead 2..

excellent news. this week's episode was brilliant - and, although it slowed the action, last week's episode was pure acting/writing brilliance.

Good news. This is a very good show.
+1 about Rubicon. That also was a good show with a great cast of characters. Wish they would have put more work into the ending. The last episode totally blew.
