'Real Housewives of New Jersey's' Kathy Wakile: 'I'm caught in the middle'

It's Thanksgiving in the world of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" on Monday's (June 6) episode at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, but Kathy Wakile's family isn't quite together for the holidays.
While she attends a dinner over at cousin-in-law and fellow housewife Melissa Gorga's place, her cousin, Teresa Giudice, is celebrating separately with her immediate family, friends, and fellow housewives. Kathy wishes things could be different.
"I'm caught in the middle," Kathy tells Zap2it. "I do love Teresa, I love Joe and I love Melissa. I hope that family can survive arguments and issues and we can come full circle... I'm always that girl that looks at the glass half-full and never looks it as half-empty. And there's always a chance."
Rewinding back to when Kathy was still making her decision to join the series, she tells us that Teresa was very angry about the possibility - a reaction the new housewife didn't quite understand.
"I can't see why, for me it would make me feel more comfortable, to be honest," she says. "If someone from my family or a good friend of my mine was approached, it would be fun for me because I would say, 'You know what? This is great. They're going to pull somebody on, why not pull somebody that I love and somebody I care about and that I know we will get along?' That's the way I would see it."
Of course, as Kathy and the viewers can now see, that isn't how it all played out so far. Regardless, the new housewife asks that viewers reserve their judgment of the situation while the season unravels.
"I would hope that the viewers keep an open mind," she says. "And can see the full story and see that out of all this, it's very relatable because every family has issues. And every family will go through their ups and downs but the core of it all, as I said earlier, is love."
"And hopefully, by watching ourselves," she continues. "We can learn maybe from our mistakes and outside they're looking in and say, 'Oh, I see, yeah, maybe I could have done something different.' So in this whole journey I hope that we all grow. First of all, we all learn and our love in our relationship becomes stronger for it."
Fans, have you already made up your mind about who's at fault in this family feud? Or are you keeping an open mind as Kathy asks?

Kathy, YOU put yourselk in the middle. I thought you were going to bring CLASS to the show.....DUH.Remember something, Theresa was there for you when that beautiful daughter of yours was so sick. Obviously, your memori is short. What is so funny is that I am not even a Theresa fan. However,I do believe she is in the right. Tell me something... would YOU APOLIGIZE to your brother if he called you GARBAGE?? It was YOU who approached her after the fashion show. YOU got in the middle by CHOICE!!!!Joe AND Melissa created all the fiasco at the Christening. Joe should be ashamed of himself for being so drunk at his son's special day. I cannot believe you don't see right through Melissa. LOL!!!!! By the way I think you are a fantastic baker. It is a Bakery you should open and not a resturant. And another P.S. your children are beautiful and very well mannered. May they continue to grow so beautifully. Love the contract they sign. My boys[now grown] had a verbal contract with their Dad. If they drank they had to call him for a ride home....no questions asked and no repercussions. It worked for us. Good luck and God Bless.
Erma is right. Kathy pretends she isn't implying things that she is obviously implying... she is just as catty as the rest of them. Theresa even told her to "say her piece" on the last episode, and then she couldn't! Because she actually doesn't have anything to say other than that she is mad at Theresa for no good reason. As for the Theresa/Melissa quarrel, they are both just as bad and both at fault. But at least Theresa does't try to act like she's perfect like Melissa does.
