Paula Abdul on Cheryl Cole's 'X Factor' departure: 'We will continue to stay in touch'
It was announced Monday (June 6) that Nicole Scherzinger will officially be replacing Cheryl Cole as a judge on "The X Factor," Simon Cowell's new competition reality show on FOX.
When Cole's departure was first reported, rumors of a feud -- or lack of chemistry -- between her and fellow judge Paula Abdul began circulating. On Tuesday, June 7, Abdul took to her Twitter account to address Cole's exit.
"Cheryl is amazing. We have forged a wonderful friendship & have been & will continue to stay in touch," she tweeted. "I'm excited for everyone to see and hear what she is about to do next." And there you have it -- no feud.
Cowell also recently opened up about Cole's departure, saying, "She's one of my closest friends, and this was a decision we made which we thought would be beneficial to her, funny enough. Not many people will believe that, but that's the truth."
"The X Factor" debuts in September on FOX.

Yep, Cheryl Cole is amazing. Happy Paula and her are friends.
Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole are over and I pretty much doubt Paula will get in touch with Cheryl in the future, not while she's still doing the X Factor.
I'm going to watch only the British version. Can't stand Paula Abdul.
Yay for Saula! :D
Happy Simon and Paula will judge another TV show together! Can't wait!!
Don't care for the other girl, just hope she is happy in her country now...don't come back.
