'Law and Order: Criminal Intent': Is series finale the end for Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe?
Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, as detectives Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames, solve their last crime together Sunday (June 26) -- or the last one we'll see as viewers -- when the the "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" series finale airs.D'Onofrio and Erbe returned for the show's 10th and final season, after sitting out season nine. Juli Ormond also signed on for season 10, playing the police psychiatrist of which D'Onofrio's character, Goren, was in dire need.
In the finale, the story is ripped from the headlines. We won't get into specifics, but let's just say if you saw "The Social Network," you won't have any trouble following the action. The story is helped along by James Van Der Beek, who guest stars as a cocky businessman who mainly holds court in night clubs surrounded by what appear to be paid escorts.
And, who knows, the show may have some life left in it yet.
"I know that I would be there in a heartbeat," Erbe tells TVGuide.com when asked if she'd re-up for an 11th season. "I'm fairly positive that Vincent feels the same way. Everyone was really hoping that, in the 11th hour, we'd get some word. Whether the fans are able to muscle us back or not, who knows. They have amazing power."
"Law and Order: Criminal Intent" airs Sunday (June 26) at 9 p.m. ET on USA.

Regardless of whether or not there's an 11th season, I'm just happy they gave the show the proper sendoff that it deserves. Can't wait to see Mr. D'Onofrio and Ms. Erbe's next projects.
The L&O franchise STILL getting old now that SVU is now the last one in the series unlike the CSI shows. Its going to be tough on Wednesdays now that SVU going up against CSI at 10 p.m.
This 10th season has been amazing. Its concentrated focus on the crime and Vincent's character has been such a reminder of the first four seasons. I'm so very, very sad that it's come to an end. I hope that some network will understand how great this series is and that are many, many devoted fans. I'll do my part to let them know just how devoted we are.
They'll bring them over to L&O: SVU
It breaks my heart to think there'll be no more CI. CI is by far the best of the L&O franchise. Can't get enough of D'Onofrio! Please, pretty please, bring it back!
We have watched L&O since its very first show. Can't watch SVU because of its children and cruelty. Our favorite is CI. We waited patiently while it was off one season. We even began to like Jeff Goldblum in the part. We are truly distressed that tonight is the last show. Please find some way to bring it back. Really unhappy. Marlene & Mel Chernev
LAOCI is probably the best detective show ever written. It would be perfect if they brought it back as TV movies like Jesse Stone. And CI is certainly more deserving. Let the first few season's writers write them too. Maybe we could give it a big screen treatment.
What do we have to do to "muscle" the series back?
I'm ready to do whatever is necessary.
Where should we write? To the station or the producers?
I am a huge fan of Law & Order: CI, and would love to see it come back for an 11th season. Is there some petition that we can all sign?
