Laurence Fishburne exiting 'CSI'
Oscar-nominated actor Laurence Fishburne is leaving "CSI" after two-and-a-half seasons, Deadline reports.
Fishburne opted not to renew his deal which expired this season. "The Matrix" star is said to be looking to return to film full-time.
Sources say CBS and the "CSI" team haven't began discussions about the show's future without the actor.
Fishburne, who plays Dr. Raymond Langston, was brought onto the successful CBS series after original star William Petersen left in Dec. 2008. After he joined the show, executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Naren Shankar said, "CBS asked us, 'Who's at the top of your dream list?' Without hesitation, we said Laurence Fishburne. He is a powerful and intense actor, with an incredible range. For all of us at CSI, this is truly a dream."

While I like Fishburne as an actor, the whole Nate Haskell storyline did nothing for me.
Thank God,(or whatever u call him) i have stopped watching since he joined the cast. I just couldnt stand him. The only episode Ive watched is the one where justin bieber gets gunned down(what a great scene).

He quit or was fired?
They need to get Gil back. Have him come back in as a temp to fill in not even be the boss. If they could sign him for just one year for when the show moves to Wednesday it would be great. And if he didnt want to do more he could groom his replacement.
I actually LIKED him. I had to quit watching the show because William Peterson reminded me too much of my son in law. :)
Glad to see him leave. Good actor but did not like him on that show. William Peterson was the man and CSI was my favorite show until Laurence Fishburne joined the cast. Maybe now we can get back to the good CSI....
Will probably completely stop watching the show now. Always liked it the least of all CSI shows, the characters were not very interesting, and Lawrence was interesting, but the writing has really gone downhill. Personally, I thought Grissom was about as interesting to watch as watching paint dry though
I just couldn't get into CSI:LA with "Ray Langston" (Laurence Fishburne) as head of the team. To me, NO ONE can take "Gil Grissom's" (William Peterson) place. PLEASE bring Grissom back!!!
