Jared Padalecki joins Twitter, 'Supernatural' fans rejoice

If you search "Jared Padalecki Twitter" on Google, it returns almost 67,000 Twitter accounts featuring the "Supernatural" star's name. None of them, however, originated with Padalecki himself -- at least until Saturday (June 4).Padalecki joined the Twitterverse as @jarpad Saturday and, as of this post, had already racked up almost 28,000 followers. Twitter hasn't verified the account yet, but he did tell fans gathered at a "Supernatural" convention in Nashville that it's not a fake.
"Hey guys, it's really me," one update reads. "I'm in Nash-Vegas right now about to see our Supernatural family. I'll confirm twitter with them in person." Padalecki later posted a picture of himself grappling with a stuffed moose head.
Padalecki's introduction to Twitter made him a trending topic on the site earlier in the day, and he even broke into the Google most-searched rankings. Such is the devotion of "Supernatural" fans. He's not following anyone yet, although co-stars Misha Collins and Jim Beaver have both acknowledged Padalecki in tweets of their own.

I'm trying to figure out why this news tidbit wasn't relayed by your rabidly devoted supernatch employees. Did @cadlymack find out the news and then have a stroke from overwhelming joy and cardiac exuberance? Or did she just have the weekend off? :-)
Funny, that Twit-err? story. In a fit of disgust with the vacuity and just plain dumbness,I actually quit my Twitter account at nearly the exact sime instant that Mr. Padalecki opened his. Weird left handed synergy. But I don't care for the format, so even Jared is not enough of an inducement to get me to return to the misery that is Twitter. It is only as popular as it is because everyone is illiterate nowadays, and a format that requires you to be brief is easier to sound clever on. Not that I am casting aspersions on Jared or his choice to enter the Twitterverse;far from it. I found myself bored stiff, and the community unengaging when I was there. But it must be great if you are already shallow and sketchy--look at all the losers who post there on a regular basis; Britney Spears, Diddy...a real nest of A-list kooks. Looks like I will have to scour the net for a haven of actual humans to talk to, 'til the puppet patrol here comes back from summer vacay.Maybe I'll start my blog--I plan to rewrite each episode of Supernatural, writing out all the redundancies, bad plot twists, and writing misteps from the point of view of actual, well crafted horror fiction. Should keep me busy. It will be interesting to see which story points go out the window first. I'm looking forward to it.
Well good luck with that Van, 'cause no one really cares what you do with your life. You wanna say supernatural has bad plot twists, redundency, and missteps, well say it somewhere people might actually care. I love spn and both Jared and Jensen, and I think it's nice Jared got a twitter, illiterate as it might be, it's an easy way to stay in touch with fans and the fans obviously like it too. So go complain some other place. >.
I love supernatural it's the best tv show ever and I wish I can meet Jared padalecki and Jensen ackles someday cause they are the coolest actors in the whole world and the funniest :)
