'Fear Factor' returning to NBC
Do you miss watching people eat gross things on television for money? If you do, we've got some good news for you.NBC is reviving its reality action show "Fear Factor," EW reports. Paul Telegdy, head of NBC's alternative programming, said the network thought of the idea after seeing the show's repeats draw high ratings on its sister cable channel Chiller.
Telegdy tells EW, "No one has come close to doing what they've done on that show. You go back and they've stood the test of time. It always had this incredible spectacle to it."
"Fear Factor" debuted in 2001 and ran for five years on the peacock network. Telegdy says the reboot will be even bigger than the original. "The stunt and camera technologies have evolved since then, we're going to be able to make it even bigger," he explains. "We're going to make it more visually arresting."
Joe Rogan hosted the original show, but it's not yet clear if he will be returning or it a new host will be selected. The show should launch midseason or next summer.

Was just thinking how much I missed the Fear - and now it may be coming back?? Awesome - heights, gross bugs, doing stuff that would scare the living s*@t out of me.. Great!! Bring it back!!
Here's a quote from Rogan himself on being on Fear Factor:
"I'm not really funny on that show, and if you didn't know me, you'd probably think I was a di,c k."

Always liked the stunts on that show - the gross factor, the host, and the smack-talking fame-******? Not so much. But watching people drive cars off buildings and jump onto helicopters? Hell yeah.
"Your last name is Gorelli?" It has stood up well to the gross out game shows to come along since then. That isn't exactly a positive statement on network programming though. Heck, "Wipeout" is basically "Double Dare" w/out contestants actually answering questions. Maybe JD Roth will bring back "Fun House" next.
Can't believe they're resorting to this garbage to fill in a timelsotn or two. This show sucks and was CXLed for a reason. OK then, bring Las Vegas back for a season as well, if they're going that route.
