'Desperate Housewives': Which actress 'is not funny,' according to creator Marc Cherry?
The rumors of "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry's d-baggery reached epic proportions when former cast member Nicollette Sheridan filed her lawsuit for wrongful termination and sexual discrimination. Then, former employees came out of the woodwork testifying to his mistreatment of female employees.
So, one would think that someone under such scrutiny would watch what he says. Well, one would think... At a recent panel of ABC showrunners at the Producers Guild, THR reports that Cherry disclosed that someone on his hit ABC show needs some help in the comedy department.
"One of my actresses on 'Desperate Housewives' is not funny," he says and then he describes how he needs to help the poor humorless actress.
"'Sweetie, if you raise your eyebrow here, you'll get a laugh,'" he describes. "She does, and she gets nominations. Daddy's little girl does comedy. I'm part daddy, part psychiatrist."
He didn't say which actress he was referring to and all of them have been nominated for a Golden Globe, Emmy, SAG award, etc., so that clue doesn't help. So, dear readers, we turn to you.

Either Cross or Huffman. Both Teri and Eva are always praised about their perfect physical comedy timing.
Maybe he find it funny but I think it's offensive to the actress who clearly is making him earn a lot of money
To me is Felicity Huffman, she could be very anoying sometimes and this is just not funny, about Marcia Cross she is very funny too me, but the funiest to me is Eva and Teri. xo xo
How is Bree winning? I think she's the second best at comedy. Gabby is definitely best. Susan is third... Teri Hatcher usually only gets ****** slapstick to work with, so it's hard to tell. Lynette as a character is usually too disgusting for Felicity to get the chance to act comedic...
Either Teri or Eva-- from the article, it's about giving direction, and as actresses Teri and Eva always seem to need the most help to me, but that's because their characters are the shallower ones maybe.
You say Cherry needs to watch what he says and then turn around and speculate/post a poll as to who he was talking about?
I see Felicity Huffman more as a drama actress...and I suposse that's what make her vital to the show, because she has a drama side than no one else can do as good as her.
Just cancel the old show!!
